PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Goodstock by Nolan Ryan is a meat distributor serving restaurants and foodservice businesses across the Carolinas.

Berger Media partnered with Goodstock to create a content series that showcased not only the quality of its products, but the restaurants and businesses using them.

Working alongside Goodstock's sales team, Berger Media traveled throughout North and South Carolina to meet with Goodstock customers and tell the stories behind the businesses they serve.

Across more than 10 shoots, the project combined photography, video, interviews, social media content, and drone coverage to create a collection of visual stories that highlighted the relationships between Goodstock and its customers.

THE CHALLENGE:

Goodstock's relationships with its customers are a key part of its brand.

The challenge was to bring those relationships to life through content that could showcase the people, restaurants, and businesses behind the products while also reinforcing Goodstock's role as a trusted partner to the foodservice industry.

The content needed to serve multiple purposes—providing Goodstock with social media and marketing assets while also creating content that its restaurant and hospitality customers could use to showcase their own businesses.

The work also needed to fit within the existing social and brand structure of Goodstock and its franchise partners while still feeling authentic to each individual business.

THE APPROACH:

Berger Media worked alongside Goodstock's sales team to identify customer stories and develop content around the businesses using Goodstock products.

Rather than treating each shoot as a traditional commercial production, the approach focused on the relationships between the distributor, its customers, and the people behind the food.

Each shoot was tailored to the individual business while maintaining a consistent visual approach across the broader Goodstock brand.

Coverage included:

  • Restaurant and hospitality photography

  • Food and product photography

  • Customer interviews

  • Long-form video

  • Social media reels

  • Behind-the-scenes content

  • Drone photography and video

  • B-roll

  • Story-driven content featuring Goodstock customers

The result was a collection of content that could tell the Goodstock story through the people and businesses it serves.

THE WORK

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE BUSINESS

At the center of the project were the people who make the foodservice industry work.

Through interviews and documentary-style photography, Berger Media captured the chefs, restaurant owners, staff, and Goodstock partners behind the products.

THE RESTAURANTS

Each customer had its own story, personality, and experience.

The content was designed to showcase the individual businesses while connecting their stories back to Goodstock's role as a partner.

THE FOOD

From preparation to presentation, food photography helped showcase the quality and versatility of Goodstock products in real-world restaurant environments.

The focus wasn't simply on the product itself—it was on what customers create with it.

THE STORIES

Three dedicated interview pieces helped bring the stories behind the businesses to life.

By putting the people behind the food in front of the camera, the content created a more personal connection between Goodstock, its customers, and their audiences.

SOCIAL CONTENT

Short-form content was created to fit Goodstock's existing social media strategy and provide a steady stream of engaging content across its digital channels.

The content could also be shared by the featured restaurants and businesses, allowing each story to reach audiences beyond Goodstock's own platforms.

FROM ABOVE

Drone photography and video added another perspective to the project, helping showcase locations and businesses while creating additional visual assets for digital marketing.

THE RESULT:

Across more than 10 content shoots throughout North and South Carolina, Berger Media created an extensive visual library for Goodstock by Nolan Ryan and the businesses it serves.

Each shoot produced more than 50 edited photographs, along with social media reels, long-form video, interviews, drone content, and B-roll.

The content was used across Goodstock's social media channels and shared with the featured businesses, giving both Goodstock and its customers valuable visual assets to promote their brands.

By combining photography, video, interviews, and storytelling, the project transformed Goodstock's existing customer relationships into a content engine—allowing the brand to tell its story through the people and businesses it serves.

THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY:

For a food distributor, the story doesn't end when the product leaves the warehouse.

It continues in the kitchen.

It's in the hands of the chef preparing the dish, the restaurant owner building a business, and the team working behind the scenes to create an experience for their customers.

That's what made this project unique.

Rather than simply photographing products in isolation, Berger Media traveled directly to the businesses using Goodstock products and told the stories of the people behind them.

The result was content that connected Goodstock to the real-world experiences its products help create.
